Dr. Babu holds a Ph.D. in analytical kinematics from Virginia Tech and worked for a project related to International Space Station for NASA. He pioneered "Fractional Conjugate Geometry," a concept fundamental to designing highly efficient mechanical systems, and built STEER World, a global manufacturing technology conglomerate 30+ years ago. He has now turned his focus to climate and sustainability challenges : including deforestation, plastic pollution, and microplastics.
He holds over 30 inventions and 150+ international patents, and founded unWOOD to apply that expertise toward a healthier, more sustainable built environment.
Vishal began his career at L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering on offshore oil & gas projects, becoming one of the youngest Project Managers in the company's history, before spending 17 years executing large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects with multinational corporations, including Enel Green Power.
Vishal is deeply committed to addressing two of the planet's most pressing environmental challenges: deforestation and plastic waste. As CEO, he leads unWOOD's strategic direction, and his deep expertise in mega infrastructure projects gives him a unique edge in scaling the company's impact.
