Dr. Babu, a visionary Kinemetician and scientist with decades of expertise in material transformation, set out to create a unique material that combines the beauty, strength, and workability of wood while preserving forests. With the backing of Steer World, he developed unWOOD, an innovative material called Macro Molecular Fiber Matrix (MMFM) that unites sustainability, strength, and practicality while incorporating plastic waste in its formulation.
unWOOD is not merely an alternative; it is a sustainable breakthrough.
Every kilogram of unWOOD used prevents 1.5 kilograms of CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere. It also diverts 500 grams of hard-to-recycle plastic from waste streams. Incorporating unWOOD into any space spares one mature tree from being cut.

Our products are made from a patented innovative substitute for wood called MMFM — it’s WATER PROOF, WEATHER PROOF, and TERMITE RESISTANT, making it ideal for outdoor use. Our furniture is 100% waterproof and does not absorb water, which means there’s no risk of rotting or swelling like in traditional wooden furniture. Unlike metal furniture, unWOOD never rusts, ensuring your outdoor furniture stays strong and beautiful for years — even in harsh weather.
The black frame is also made from unWOOD. It is not metal. It uses the same unWOOD material as the planks and surfaces, just the colour is different.
unWOOD is based in Bengaluru, India. We ship around the country. It is shipped in semi knockdown which makes it economical to transport. It will come with required hardware (allen screw and key) and instruction manual. It can be easily fixed following the instruction without the need of a carpenter.

• For regular cleaning, simply wipe off dust with a dry or damp cloth
• For stains like oil or spills or bird droppings, use a mild soap solution and clean with a cloth
• No special care or heavy maintenance is required

• Applying the recommended unWOOD sprays once every 3 months. This helps retain the shine and finish over time, especially in outdoor conditions
